This is a poll regarding our next special run.

If the run was prototypical (not fantasy) would you buy a runner pack that contained two or three different types of cars?

Example: Boxcar, flatcar, caboose, or gondola, flatcar, boxcar, etc.

Something like that would get up there in price (of course). We will keep prices as low as possible.

This is still at the planning stages but work is being done. :)

Also, there is a good chance that these would be Micro-Trains again.

To me, era is more important than road name. I'd much rather prefer 40' boxcars, etc.

Yes, I agree with Rocket above.
I would have no problems supporting Trainboard with a prototypical runner pack IF all the cars were a certain era (which for me is anything found on the rails in the 80's)
Mixing a 50's boxcar with a 70's tank car and a 00's covered hopper would be a no go.
So for this poll, I'd choose the first option, as long as the era is correct, since I wouldn't care what roadnames they were.

Charlie, maybe a sister poll to this one would be a "era" poll?

Time frame is important to me as well.

40 foot boxcars are my favorite.

I don't think that would be something that we would do. I already have in mind something...

I personally like anything built from 1920- 1985 since I have a pair of layouts. I prefer a western road, and I am in dire need for reefers and tankers

I would be up for a runner pack of cars from the 50's to 80's but only revenue cars. Doesn't matter to me if they are all the same era or not since I run steam and diesel power. Just no modern cars for me.

Would not be interested in a caboose since I only collect 3 roads of motive power and caboose.

I'd go for a three pack.
Western Pacific, Sacramento Northern and Tidewater Southern.

I mainly model early to mid 70s, so I would hope I could almost make it fit. I've been known to cheat a bit, though. I have enough 40' boxcars to FILL a 40' boxcar !!! And NOBODY has enough tank cars, no matter what size. Cabeese would be a bad idea, unless you offer a matching locomotive. How about a boxcar, tank car, gon, and flat ??? How could you possibly go wrong ???

I'm in the era specific group as well as railroad cars specific to the railroads I operate on my layout. It's actually a bigger door then you might think as one month I may run train cars and locomotives from the 40's. A month or two later equipment from the 50's right on up until the 70's. This gives me a variety of trains to run and I'm not stuck with one date and/or one place in time.

    That's my .02.

I believe he just threw that in there as a bit of humor, indicating no interest in purchasing a car.

Transition era primarily into mid-1960s could work for me. Road name isn't a make or break if the cars are from that time frame. Cars from multiple regions would be more interesting to me than cars all from say the east or west, or one railroad. I prefer 40ft boxcars but wouldn't mind seeing a flat or tank in the mix.

Goldwater would be my second choice.

Guys, I already have in mind what we *might* do. We're just trying to gauge support for the runner pack. This would definitely be fallen flag stuff.
