The sun had set 5 minutes earlier when this Amtrak Cascades Northbound FINALLY made it's appearance at Carkeet park as it races along Puget sound.
During my delivery route, I heard a horn as I got out of my truck. As I got to the back to open a door, I seen this guy sticking out around the backside of building next door. 20151104_124223 by Adam Henry, on Flickr It was the late running (which is pretty routine lately) D795 Hanover to Hagerstown run. The following was rest of consist. The pictures were taken from in front of Dominos Pizza on Elm St. The train went into the siding here to switch out a handful of tank cars at the Utz Potato Chip plant. 20151104_124358 by Adam Henry, on Flickr 20151104_124407 by Adam Henry, on Flickr 20151104_124415 by Adam Henry, on Flickr

I caught this guy on Monday in Rosenberg. I was standing in front of the BNSF yard office when it went blasting by. The ground was shaking.
Taken almost exactly 28 Years ago in November 1987, GP-40 WM 3798 spent the night in Montgomery, AL. I arose early and detoured past the engine terminal to bag this lucky shot. I think the 3798 was the last unit in WM paint on CSX.
A long, heavy BNSF intermodal coming down the north tracks at Sullivan's Curve: Here come the midtrain DPUs: And one more at the end:
Not maintaining equipment may be part of how Warren's people were able to increase their announced "profits", this past quarter. Sounds familiar. Where have I heard this previously? Oh, yes- The Milwaukee Road, when they paid dividends to stockholders instead of using that money for keeping the railroad in decent condition.
