    I just got here yesterday after a long absence so I got to play around with it before I can offer any opinion.

    Right now I just trying to find the reply to thread button. The reply by a post makes it a reply to the poster.

    This old dog has got to learn some new tricks.

    Ron- Below the last post in a topic, to the right of your user name, there is a new message box. It can show up a bit light on some screens, so some folks miss it. Just put your cursor in there and start typing. When done click the button underneath, right side, "Post Reply".

    So far it's not to bad. I'm an old dog and it's good for me to learn new tricks. Keeps me awake. ;)
    IMO Trainboard has the best support. Charlie and the Moderators do a super job with a site this large. It is the best multi-scale forum on the Internet.

    Some folks want to blame the site when issues (as they do on any internet site) arise. They get huffy, point to the site first, and may even get POed (unjustified). I usually assume I dorked something up and check my end out first. Then if I can't resolve it I ask the Mods for help.

    My biggest problem is, sometimes I'm dumb as a rock. An example of this, is my recent issue with the secret word. So before you point your finger and get all heated up, look at yourself first, then think, then maybe just maybe, you can point (a little bit):cautious: your finger.

    I do miss the blogs.:cry: But in time, when the site has settled down, folks settle down, and we are confortable with it, the administration might have time to look into it.

    I don't dislike the new software... but I am resistant to changes. I have gotten used to it now so hopefully there won't be more changes in the near future.

    One thing you can be sure of is things are gonna change. Maybe not today but one day.

    The pastel colors are hard to see with old(er) eyes. Also hard to tell if there is a new post in a particular thread because the difference between an already read thread and the "bolder" font with an unread thread is so subtle. Also, if you can fix the need to constantly sign in in every time you switch a page would be nice.

    I think the new software is great. That was also my first impression when TB re-opened with the software change.

    Have fun with it...:cool::cool:

    My only gripe is the very faint line separating the posts. If that could be thickened, or darker color (black?) it would be much clearer who is posting what.
