I have started building a depot. I haven't used a specific prototype, but have combined the general charteristics of US depots. At least, I hope I did It is quite small, and painting al those windows was, well, uhm, challenging...... All I have to do now is some weathering and making up a station name.
Interesting piece of schratchbuilding. Personally I would add some weathering but it had been repainted some montaż ago ....
Scoop! There has even been some stinckin' cheese eaters from France!! Unfortunately I haven't been able to go, but maybe the next edition in two years... Dom
The new project looks very promising. What material do you use to make brick walls ? Light weathering of the depot is also very nice.
Those brick walls are made of styrene. I have several sheets from different manufacturers. This sheet comes from JTT.
I didn't smell anything funny.. I did see that great USA railroad of a French origin, though... Unfortunately, the young frenchies were too busy amongst each other, didn't get a chance for a chat with the builders... ( no offense, Dom, lots of appreciation here.
I have used that name many years earlier for a bar on my first oNetrak module. I have still some leftovers of the printed signs, so I thought it would be nice to expand the business empire
Once a subsidiary of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad the Atlantic & Pacific built tracks from Albuquerque, N.M. to the Colorado River Crossing at or near Needles, CA. Southern Pacific caught on and built tracks from Mojave, Ca. to the river crossing of the Colorado River, again near Needles, Ca. just to keep the AT&SF out of town. Some swindling, conniving and Santa Fe traded tracks into Mexico for the SP Route, Needles to Mojave. More to this story if you be interested. So Thieu, you are modeling a prototype...how about that?
