Yeah, Especially when I put the Ace on the tracks, Applied power and heard an EMD 710 prime mover start..... Update: The SD40-2 doesn't power on. and the SD70 ACE runs but loses power all the time. They appear to be have MRC dual mode sound decoders. Is there anyone in the Tacoma WA that can have a look at them to see if the Decoders are bad or installed poorly? I've never had any experience with aftermarket decoders.
I just purchased a Kato M2 Set; for a temporary layout. So I can get my MMR fix while I'm looking for a new house. I was having withdrawals and all of the Tracks & Scenery are packed tight in storage for now. Oh yes those Trails and Tribulations of moving. LOL
Recently recieved an Aristo Craft G Scale Rio Grande covered gondola. Took advantage of the Caboose sale and purchased a Micro Trains coupler for the Alan Curtis/N Scale Kits ConCor under frame conversion kit. No trucks, as there were none available! And 4 N Scale magazines. Just gotta get the right trucks now, for the CC cars, so I can at least get ONE car finished! The G Scale steel wheels and Kadee couplers I was wanting not available either. It's starting to get bare! Have an N Scale display layout for sale! If anyone has an extra $6,750 just laying around!
Terrible image quality... but here's the haul from the Greenberg train show this weekend: N stuff: - Kato Silver Streak Zephyr set. - BLI PRR H32 circle keystone H32 4-pack, grey. - 3x MTL PRR heavyweights: RPO, coach, and horse car. - 2x 50' double door auto box cars, Erie. - 1x 40' double door auto box car, ACL. - 1x single door box car, CoG. - 1x 50' gon, PRR. Z scale items not pictured: Marklin BR74+reefer and gon (set); 2x Pennzee 40' steel reefer, MILW/URTX; 1x laser-cut wood house kit; 1x laser-cut wood truss bridge kit. All in all a very sweet haul. I was surprised... there were two Hi-Rail clubs at the show, a garden railroad club, an Ntrak group, and even a Lego electric train setup, but no HO layout. Years ago I could remember shows where there were two or three HO clubs set up next to each other. It's weird seeing the most popular scale not represented... though it's worth pointing out that the Ntrak layout had the most floor space, as much as the two Hi-Rail layouts combined! Very good show. I'd have come home with a lot more goodies if I hadn't set a spending limit for myself.
Just got the latest Lowell Smith AFT release: Car 205, the Observation. Next up, the 10th and final display car. Due 4th qtr 2016. With the final release or two, due by the 2nd qtr 2017.
Picked up a set of Overton's in Virginia and Truckee livery. Someone got a heckuva deal in an estate sale and was getting rid of the bits not needed to help pay for the rest. The estate was from a collector without a layout, and since these and the box look brand new, I believe it. I finally received several bottles of paint on Saturday. The first place I ordered them from never fulfilled it after calling me months after I placed it, asking me if I was interested in some other stuff that they were closing out. I declined and was told my order would sent. Never got it. I ordered direct from Badger and got it on time. 003 by WPZephyrFan posted Sep 4, 2016 at 11:32 AM
I finally found the sixth Red Caboose Manufacturers Railway boxcar that I had been looking for. It was a six car set and I had five of them and had been looking for the missing one for a long time! Thanks eBay! I also got the Bluford Shops Frisco transfer cabooses and six TrainWorx hoppers.
Oh my good friend..... Another one bites the dust Another one bites the dust And another one gone and another one gone Another one bites the dust
Not biting the dust, I am never going to go 100% sound. I just need it to setup and maintain the sound cars I will be getting.
The purchase of an M2 Track Kit from Kato, so I could set up a temporary track and run some trains again. I have it set up and shall take some pictures here shortly. So glad to have trains running after three years without. I'll keep it for a Test Track in later days. When a house comes around. But for now Ahhh. never thought that a 6' x 4' space could bring so much joy
Decoder should be the same as the Bachmann F7's I have and using with the EZ Command System so not a problem for me if it runs like the Bachmann F7's. Thanks, DJ
