    Interesting. Experience counts as useless.
    Okay.
    Good to know.

You're "experience" seems limited to bashing Windows 10, Facebook and Internet advertising.

    No thanks.

I would think that likes could count higher than just posts... you have to work hard and usually be PC to earn likes... anyone can post.

But I am a newbie here, so will just watch from the periphery.

He was talking to me or not and it doesn't matter. When this website reflects what I'd like to see I will once again be a supporter. For now and the fine folks administering this website have heard from me privately. Things........ need to change. And, that's where I'll leave it.

As we say elsewhere, "It is what it is".

Oh by the way a vote of confidence. It is getting better.

    Who'd of thought.

Things that work..or don't. If you think this is the first time I have run up against this attitude....well, refer to "experience".
Internet advertising? Another form of junk mailers in your mailbox, maybe. Maybe not.

Sorry, but if I want something, I go look for it.

Since the stuff I want isn't made anymore, I sometimes have to look hard, and guaranteed you won't find it on an Internet Ad.

It's okay. While I am not entitled to my "opinion", you are.

As far as 10...I am up close enough to it to know it won't fly here. And I spent enough time "reverting" various computers to 7 and inserting "poison pills" to keep it from happening again.....I no longer trust Redmond. Your mileage may vary.
My aversion to them began over 9 years ago. Something called "WGA" that was forced...sort of like 10 was.
The culture hasn't changed in a decade.

    I'm off.
    Might be back..later.

    Have fun.

This points thread is going nowhere:cry:, maybe it is time to forget about the points and close the tread.

sooo... @FriscoCharlie , what did you think of my idea about the points system being for a milestone "trophy room"?

First layout --> x number of points
First DCC decoder install --> x number of points

    or merit badge things...

(not trying to regroup the thread or anything ;) )

Hi. I have a latest trophy award of 1,500 points... Very appreciated. But this I believe is a new feature of Tboard. If not, sorry for never noticing it before. So, as the title asks, what does this bring one, if anything, other than recognition of one's input to the Tboard community (which is cool, too) ?...Thanks, Mark

    Rick,

Don't hold your breath that we'll ever come into compliance with your high standards as it isn't likely. But, I would like to thank the two people who offered support and specifically mentioned that they would be glad to support TrainBoard because you weren't going to. ;)

Congratultions, MarkInLA! You are the winner of the first unicorn in captivity! In the event a unicorn is ever discovered and captured alive, Trainboard will secure that unicorn and deliver it right to your door! Suitable for riding, selling to the circus or chasing pesky neighborhood children from your lawn! It's unique, a guaranteed source of fame and worldwide recognition, and in the event one is actually found after a millenia of fruitless searching, it's all yours courtesy of Trainboard!*

Trainboard is a good resource for me, I will continue to support it regardless of "details" . As long as there are photo's and idea's it works for me!

I have no clue how I achieved 116 Points, or what that means. However, I enjoy light-hearted meaningless whimsy, and this definitely is that. :p
Though I'm not sure what Mark will do with his Unicorn.

I haven't donated to TB in a while and I'm not nearly as active on TB as I used to be either. But I will give you my opinion whether you like it not!! :p

OPINION: It looks and works good to me! :D

Tongue in cheek Charlie, tongue in cheek.

Truth is I'm not able to support TB. Can barely make it from disability check to disability check.

Still, I'll keep what I've had to say private and my standards aren't that high or impossible.

So can I cash in my points so I can go out and buy a washing machine or should I go buy a lottery ticket? Like either one is going to happen. LOL

Rick -- sure, you can get a brand new Samsung washing machine; or if you hold out to 100 points, a Samsung Galaxy Note 7!

Of course, you'll have to sign a liability release only slightly thicker than War and Peace.
