      I had originally identified this as an I-1. Mr. Ed Kirstatter caught this and corrected it for me. The caboose is actually an I-3 and was originally assigned to the CH&D before the railway was purchased by the B&O. It is a very rare caboose as there were only 17 made.

      First time I've seen those initials CH&D showing in many years. Seems to be a long forgotten entity.

      The reason I mistook it for an I-1 is that it is an I-1 copy rebuilt on the CH&D caboose underpinnings.

      Sounds like it would take a really close look, to see the different spotting features.
