Southern Pacific Bayshore Roundhouse

Built in about 1912 this engine house had 16 stalls and was used up to about 1982. The entire SP Bayshore Rail Yard, just south of San Francisco, was closed in the late 1980's. All that remain are part of the roundhouse and a tender shop. All of the yard tracks have been removed. There is an effort to restore the roundhouse and make it a railroad museum.
