LEHIGH VALLEY HARBOR TERMINAL RAILROAD

Layout constuction in progress, from 2002 to present HO scale, 11 ft wide by 30 ft long **This is a model of the LV's electric gantry float bridges, made from the Walthers kit and various Central Valley and Plastruct pieces, built by Elliott Janofsky. I will need to build the same model for my layout, as it is one of, if not THE signature stucture of the entire layout. Modeling the Lehigh Valley and CNJ in Jersey City, NJ on the Hudson River waterfront in the late 1940's, early 1950's era

Nice model! I plan to build Erie's 28th Street yard. When it was built they used LV float bridge till they built their own. Even then the Erie/LV shared tracks into the Terminal Shops.

      Thanks guys!

Chris, I believe you have been in contact with my friend Dave Ramos who is also modeling the Ere in NYC. I have helped him on his layout, and he has come down to help work on mine as well. There are quite a few of us NY waterfront modelers here in the greater NY/NJ area, most of them model the Erie, but as far as I know, I am the only one modeling the LV.

      Ralph,
Yes Dave sent me a photo of Erie HH660 #304 at 28th Street. I'm working on a model of it now thanks to his photo.

Got my Thomas Flagg books today as well!

I'll keep checking progress here at your album.
      Chris
