Brunswick
This is an unusual monument that was erected in Brunswick, Md in memory of the three crewman of the MARC commuter train who were killed in the Amtrak vs. MARC accident on 2/16/1996 at Georgetown Junction, Md. The engineer of the MARC train, who is called a hero on this monument, was held at fault for not obeying a stop signal and plowing into the side of one of the Amtrak locomotives as it changed tracks in a snowstorm. Eleven people, all on the MARC train, were killed. This is a photo that I took on the morning after the accident. http://jack212.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=345860
