      What was the year CalTrans replaced SP was the operator of these trains? For some reason, I was thinking that happened before 1981.

      1977 an agreement was reached with Southern Pacific whereas SP became the contractor of the corridor's operations. In 1980, CalTrans assumed responsibilty for the peninsula commute service.
