After me and my buddies waited on him for an hour, NS 134 finnaly snakes his way into Salisbury, with his lead SD60I in need of a horn replacement. Salisbury NC (NS Piedmont Division)

      and I think maybe the AC was broke, they had every window open on the lead unit. lol

      The horns were physically missing? Or? What happened?

      The horn sounded bad, replacement means to be replaced by something else etc. If it was completley gone they wouldnt have used that unit in the lead.

      I understand the rules about a missing horn. Just wasn't clear what was happening. As the caption seemed to read as though she was late. I wondered if it had been in a collision, or?

      Horns do require maintenance. I know someone who used to adjust them in the shop of his RR. He'd clean them up, reassemble, and then tune them. Sometimes a bit more to his liking.
