Martinsburg, WV

The Martinsburg, WV train station and the old hotel. Originally built in 1842 the station and most B&O facilities in Martinsburg were attacked and burned by Confederate forces during the Civil War. The station and hotel were rebuilt after the war and today the station serves Amtrak and MARC travelers. The walkway in the upper right portion of the photo will eventually cross the CSX tracks and serve the Martinsburg railroad exhibit which will include the old B&O roundhouse and shops.
