T&NO 794

MK-5 Mikado on the north bound Hustler out of Houston bound for Dallas. It appears that the RPO/Baggage car has been repainted from Daylight colors to silver with a scarlet stripe. That happened the summer of 1951. The train was discontinued August 1, 1954.

      Nice photo. Time is growing short for steam power on the SP, judging by the vintage of the tractors on the flat car and the less than natty appearance of the locomotive. Mid 50's?
