UP DD40X modifications

I got a pretty good deal on a DCC Bachman DD40X. The new, out-of-the-box model seemed to need quite a bit of work to make it appear more reaistic. For one thing, the front and rear pilots were attached to the trucks...Modifcations included: 1) Separating the trucks from the pilots 2) Fabricating a new pilot for the front and attching both pilots to the frame 3) Added styrene details above each truck (so it the body didn't appear to sit so high above the trucks) 4) Added etched metal MU Hoses and Mirrors 5) Removed and replaced the hand rails 6) Reworked the front number boards (painted them black and decaled) and 7) weathered to match in-use, late 70s version. Not a rivet-counter project, but I think much improved over the out-of-the-box loco I purchased.
