A few years ago a bloke from Australia or New Zealand appeared and started a build thread on an impressive layout in his garage. But I can't find it now. It was an amazing but relatively small and simple layout depicting the UP I think in the Arizona, Utah, or NM desert regions with unusually high mountain scenery. I recall it was "L"-shaped with wide sweeping curves and a single mainline. After a lot of impressive progress over the course of a season I believe he abruptly switched to HO and disappeared. I wondered whatever happened to that layout and the guy behind it all, and wanted to see the pictures again but can't find the thread after numerous searches. Anyone remember what I'm referring to? Ring any bells? Thanks!
Nothing coming into mind right away. Colonel is from Australia, and switched to HO. Modeled his N in Mopac, with some (?) UP?
Phil (hobbes1310) is in Australia, started in N, switched to HO & modeled the UP Caliente Sub for awhile. Not sure if he was on here but his HO stuff is on MRH. Otherwise there's Paul (Colonel), as BoxcabE50 said. His thread is over in the HO section.
