In the same space as HO, an 18" curve in N has a scaled effect as being almost 29 inch radius in HO. (If my math is close, being half asleep right now.) BTW- If you want to see long trains, find a show which has an N-Trak layout. :)

Candy, Bond girl or not, that picture does not hold a candle to you !

Also, your scene is absolutely hard to believe that it is a model RR and not the great 1:1. Great work.

    Always, have fun,

    Carl

Makes me wonder - is it further from the layout edge to the floor, in N scale?

Candy wanted to know what type of car this is. The D&RGW only bought 20 of these. 3900 - 3919. Purchased from Difficult in 1984. FB_IMG_1490574115210.jpg

I don't like tracks near the edge. Makes me nervous.

I know most of those era cars but what is that little red one with the white top?

It is a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. They were produced from the mid-1950's until about mid-1970's.

Now that you mention it, I see that. My first glance at the photo, I thought it looked like a Corvair (but never thought anyone made a model of it)

I've never heard of it before so I googled it. Who makes that model?

I do not see it on their web site, but I know some of his cars came from this manufacturer:

Where to start is the question this week. While some photos really stood out, everyone's postings were excellent. As always, Candy's street scene jumps right off the screen- and , yes, Russell's "For Rent" sign in Jimmy's window is the perfect final touch. As is so often the case, John has delivered a stunning night shot and Wolf's PMT terminal is also excellent. I very much enjoyed Dieselfan1's long BN trains rolling through the "big" western scenery and Jim's old time narrow gauge shot was great. Also enjoyed Montanan's street scene as always.

The Kharman Ghia was Volkswagen's "sporty" offering of the time- more flash than the beetle, but still low priced.
I have a couple of them in HO, but mine are plainer models that came from some "gift sets" that used to be sold at your friendly Wal-Mart.

Are the cracks in the pavement on the street photoshopped???
