As good as they look I think I'll be waiting for the Rio Grande model to be released.

The UP one with the short fuel tank looks strange, but I suppose it is accurate?

They should just be in Rio Grande or grungy SP schemes to look their best

Alan, From what I understand all the snoots had large fuel tanks. The preproduction has the wrong tank, This has been corrected on the production model.

Looking at the preproduction pictures I tend to agree that the body seems to sit high.

I think I will wait until one of these are released

T-2 fuel tanks info. Rio Grande had the short (by 3') tanks. All the SP/SSW units had the big tanks.

The UP model has the wrong tank for that number. 4397 was not a DRGW renumber number and DRGW units do not have A/C.

Well, I did some photo shop work. You can compair the results for yourself. Loods real darn close to me. Pay no attention to the short hood. The top pic has a 81" long hood. It looks like it sits too high because there is no detail in front of the tank.

    Are they only producing snoots?

And are those grills see-through?? A little hard to say... [IMG]

Too bad they're going to be a little far off my price range anyway... :(

InterMountain Railway products are new to me. I saw their new product announcement in Model Railroader and just checked out their web site yesterday. Guess I’m behind the times. Anyone know if they will be producing other locomotives in the near future? [IMG] Looks like their focus is primarily on West coast railroads. Wouldn't mind getting a few of their car kits.

Have these T-2's have the same wheelbase as the ex-IC SD40A's with the 5000gal tanks? :D

Forget the left coast roads, wait for the real units to arrive - SD40-3's in DM&IR!!! [IMG]

I can't wait for the CSX SD45-2s due out I think next year. There a whole lot of east coast roads coming with the SD45-2s.

Now that the NYSW has a couple of the tunnel motors, maybe IM will do these too.
