Hello everyone, Some weeks ago I found this forum from the other side of the ocean by Googling on topics like Arduino and DCC(++). I've been reading some topics since then and after I found the website of Dave Bodnar and the projects that are on there, I decided to build something myself as well, and ran into trouble... which will be the topic of a separate thread. So, that's how I came here, but you might also want to know who I am? Well, my name is Renze and currently I'm a student from the Netherlands, the latter of which you could have guessed from the topic title. I grew up with trains since there are more people here with this hobby and apparently the oldest things I remember all have to do with trains. So I would say: I'm seriously infected At home we have a H0-scale layout and a G-scale layout in the garden. And yes, I also have some other hobbies, in case you might think he's single minded. I tend to keep an old E28 BMW 5-series running, but that's another story. I hope you guys can support my questions on DCC++ and make it work here in this small country as well.
Glad to have you aboard. I was in Amsterdam when I was 15 (1979) while on a two month vacation in Europe. Beautiful place.
Welcome aboard! As already noted, DCC++ seems to be a vibrant community here, I'm sure you'll find many willing to help.
Hi Renze, Happy to have you on board. I'm a DC Dinosaur, so unable to offer any knowledge. Though I look forward to whatever you wish to share, preferably photos.
Thank you all for the warm welcome! That is really nice In the meantime trains have driven quite a lot in the garden and the weather was almost too good for it, enabling you to burn your hands on the tracks just by the power of the sun... But the wonderful evenings are a real pleasure. @JimJ : Nice to hear that you enjoyed Amsterdam back in 1979. I'm sure that quite a lot has changed since then. Not so much in the city centre I think, but when I drove at the highway a few weeks ago, I almost didn't recognise anything at all, haven't been there for a litle more than a year! @Hytec : I will try to find some nice photos
