Just loving the new FVM SD70ACes - here are the first two with details applied. And they run as good as they look!

A light engine move prepares to depart Oakville. The engines have been deemed surplus to the company's needs.

Here we see the move backing down the ladder tracks in the yard:

Further info is at the Sub's web site - see the signature line.

Very tempting Jim, very tempting!! I've really enjoyed the locomotives I've purchased from you in the past.

Back when I was still a hostler in 2008, I put together a consist like that, due to the downturn in business. The total number of units was 15, 13 dead in tow and two units on line for the train. Some of the 13 were being put into a rebuild program, the remainder were just placed in storage until traffic levels picked up. That was something handling 15 units in the outbound consist area, typical power assignments for the time were 4 units or less. Great photo's Jim and thanks for the fond memories :)

Not many pix of late but I have been busy -

Added PTC antennas to lots of locos - and new lighting for the Oakville service rack:

What color did you use for the water column?

That’s what I also have to do.

Eugen, I'm embarrassed to say I don't remember! I'm guessing CSX blue (Polly S) but I do recall thinking it ought to be blue...this is one of those times you just have to go ahead and do it without a prototype reference! Feels right to me.

    Thanks everyone for the comments!

Jim, where did you get all the details on the platforms? They look great, but as we all know, those details are much harder to find in N scale.

Matt, you just have to keep after it - and when you see something that might work for the future, snap it up. I have a pretty large junk box - lots of "stuff".

The lights are scratched using material from Ngineering.

The Snyder fuel cranes are (should be) available from American Limited.

The sand and water arms are scratched, and some of the cabinets came from an old gas station resin kit.

I have no idea where the spigots came from, but the hose is painted solder.

    It's whatever works.

PTC comes to the Sub! Been working on this through the summer, finally got it installed.

Here's the gear at CP Canyon:

And a similar setup at CP Bridge:

Caliente is a bit different - a larger tower was needed for communications, and you'll note satellite communication as well:

While working at Caliente I added a communication shack for replacement train crews and spruced up the area a bit:

    More next week.

Well done Jim - really captures the prototype. Are the solar panels from the Microscale decal set?
