Mine are the MT old fasioned wooden box cars and refers etc. incredable graphics, I wish I lived in those days. I have several and pull them behind my Kato Mikado! I also love the standard 40' boxcars so many neat designs. I grew up here on the old Siskiyou line, never seen coal cars, intermodal, auto racks etc, only box cars, and lumber flats/center beams, and woodchip cars. so of course I have no intermodal etc. on my layout. just lots of SP/Cotton Belt box cars! ------------------ espee2 Home: www.tunnel13.com layout: SP's Newberg Branch in N scale
OMG! I almost forgot! Cabooses (cabeese) I love the caboose, especially my favorite, an SP bay window caboose. I have several and in "my world" even preasent day, I run cabooses on all trains, as if they were never phased out. it just isn't a train without a caboose! ------------------ espee2 Home: www.tunnel13.com layout: SP's Newberg Branch in N scale

Welcome aboard Teh-Fan, any friend of Alan's is a friend of us, no matter what scale or era you are in. Do twll us about your Railroading! (Excuse me Teh-Fan, I got to scram, I'm not supposed to sneak in here and spy, I'm in HO STEAM!) ------------------ Watash
Thanks to all for the welcome! I'll have to tell more about me later...have to go vote now and then go to work for either 24 or 72 hours...runnin' a bit late! Russ
Monon 40 ft Boxcar With road #1 and the SCHNABLE(spelling?) 20 axle superheavy weight loading car, it carries those high/wide transformers, generators and such. ------------------ Let's Go Run Trains MARK
I like smoothside passenger cars, C&O especially. I'm also fond of 90 ton hoppers, CB&Q aluminum. Also blue B&M Evans boxcars. And on and on...... Bob
My favorite rolling stock is the caboose. All styles and colors. When I was an HO modeler, I had a caboose collection. I'm sorry now that I sold it all except for my very first caboose kit which is an MDC Roundhouse Colorado Midland caboose. I like the newer Atlas n scale caboose. I have 5 of them, and ofcourse they are all Conrail!
A good looking set of cars starts with the Walthers old Trailer Train paint job. Pick up a set of Microscale 60-4096 APL Liner Train decals [the blue boxes] and add these to the sides of each well. Not exactly correct but close enough. ------------------ John Nutt Des Moines, IA contractrental@uswest.net
MINE WOULD HAVE TO BE WALTERS COILCARS. PAINTED FOR NORFOLK SOUTHERN OF COURSE. BUT I THINK I MAY HAVE TO BUY SOME OF THOSE SPINE CARS. TIME TO SAVE UP. DAN http://gotrains.homestead.com/MYRAILMODEL.html
Tough decision... I'd have to nominate 3 favourite cars; 1. Gunderson Husky-Stacks 2. Thrall Centerbeam flats 3. PS2-CD design covered hoppers (all types) Gary. ------------------ Gary A. Rose The Unofficial TC&W page TrainBoard Moderator and Member No.377 N to the Nth degree!
Canadian Pacific 8 Hatch, Overhead Bunkered, Ice/Brine Reefer and Canadian Pacific 240000-247499 series "Minibox" Boxcars, both of which require kitbashing from current (8 Hatch reefer) Model Power Reefers and discontinued (Minibox) Atlas, AHM and Model Power Boxcars. Cheers, Terry
My favorite cars are the Atlas Ore Cars, and I just cannot get enough of them, and in any roadname. Other than that give me Atlas 100 ton coal hoppers, and I will be in love too.

I couldn't help myself! It's a Santa Fe extened vision that had a different road number than my other Santa Fe EVC. I know that I'm a Modern Era N-Scaler and really should start getting some FREDS, but I just can't give up my Cabeese! ------------------ Brent Tidaback, Member #234 BNSF Railfan-to-the Max and a N-Scaler to boot!
