I wasn't planning on buying anything at all...and then I went to Amherst. And you know it's not going to end well! :D

There was an individual who had a table and was thinning his heard and it was a BIG heard. Everyday he would bring more stuff from home. The table he had was not big enough to put everything out so I would pass his table 3-4 times a day and he had new stuff on it each time!!!

First up, 17,600 gallon Atlas tankers. NOS. Only FIVE dollars each! My buddy bought two of them else I would have ended up with five. Sharing... :)

The next day I found these. Brooklyn Locomotive Works special run hoppers. Different numbers. NOS. Again, only FIVE dollars each!

A few hours later I pass by and saw this. New, Kato SD70MAC. Only FOURTY dollars! My buddy bought an idential CSX for the same price. The Alaska box car was from another dealer. I think I was ripped off as I paid $8. I mean, didn't I get seven cars for $5 each? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Another buddy of mine bought his entire FVM Heritage Collection, all new TWELVE locomotives, for $600. Yeah, do the math!!!!! I didn't see it else I would have bought it, kept maybe two and sold the rest.

And finally, the follow was FREE! It was part of Winterfest give aways by generous manufacturers. The Pan Am car was given to all registered attendess. It's a limited run MT car commissioned by Trove Star. The NS hopper was a "pick one car from this pile" courtesty of Micro Trains. They had about 10 choices to pick from. And lastly, the container was courtesy of Scale Trains. They had two choices to pick from.

So I spent $75 for all of the above.

It was a FANTASTIC weekend, spent running trains (ran on 4 layouts of N-Trak and T-Trak), hooking up with friends, talking to interested show go'ers, shopping for bargains, etc. I didn't take any pictures this year (as opposed to my 200+ photos last year) because I was so busy running around.

Atlas: Alco RS-1 Akron, Canton, Youngstown. I was born in and grew up near Canton, OH and also want to college for a year and a half in Akron, so this small Railroad reminds me of home and fits in with my North American N-Scale layout. Very good looking, and so far seems to run nice during the breaking-in period.

Paid for an ABBA set of Red Warbonnet F7's just a few minutes ago. It only took me 3 years to get a complete 12 car first release (Set A 6001, B 6002 & C 6003) Santa Fe Super Chief without paying collector prices, and only few weeks to be lucky enough to find a proper set of locomotives for it (Santa Fe Red Warbonnet F7's had dried up on Fleabay). Will be running it at the Great Texas Train Show in a couple of weeks.

Since I've finished my lumber mill and passenger station and now this southern path has me at the local town and I realized they were missing a fire station-oh and more people...small town will maybe have about 10 or so buildings.
Of course now I need to find some Firetrucks...I recall Athearn had some nice models awhile back not sure who else...

I'm collecting items for the future Ethanol Plant and since N scale Ethanol items are so scarce its a do what you can to mimic something in real life scenario, I have acquired quite a few little goodies through Shapeways too.
Noticed this misc. Walthers tanks kit.

The Dash-8 is relatively new, I got it a couple weeks ago. But the piece of junk in the background was assembled last night! I'm planning to weather it up and see if I can fit it in a scene somewhere! _MG_9136 - Copy.jpg

I’d turn that starwars piece of junk into a show house, a movie theater, a Theater for plays or a casino.

    Tom
p.s. I always got harassed about starwars althrough my school days.
