Do the BAZ Boys have a clubhouse with regular open houses? My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to San Francisco in late July. Just curious is all. Would love to see a massive Z scale layout in working order. That being said, any Z scale attractions in Seattle or Los Angeles/San Diego?
Club house??? I don't think anyone other than Loren or Rob Allbriton have a 'club house'. Unless you consider stacked and packed modules in the garage as a club house !!! Your're welcome to stop by anytime Jim. Unless it is the weekend of March 10-11 when we are setup at 'clubhouse' Santa Clara County Fairgrounds for the Great Train Show. Next event not until November. Here is a 107 car train from this January's Great Train Show in Sacramento:
That's really cool! the only train that the Engineer can see his end Caboose go by!!!!!! HA! HA! If there is one to hard to see from here! may be a flashing light!
ZoCal is trying to get together with the San Diego Model Railroad Museum (27,000 square feet) to have a Z Scale layout there. It's just taking forever! Seems to be a possible update every 3 months right now. I actually talked to the Director of the Museum a while back. He wants us there, but he has to go through the Board of the Museum. The Museum has a 20' x 10' small room that would be perfect for us. I was actually in that small room this morning, just dreaming....
I do have a large home layout that anyone is welcome to stop in and visit if in the Medford, Oregon area. Just need a heads up.
In the Northwest corner near the O scale layout was a room which had wooden trains on wooden track for kids. Except little cars kept making their way into little pockets and that room is now empty. Perfect size for Z.
