I have two Atlas GP7 with lokosound, when I turn on the layout both start up sound, what CV setting do I need to change so the locos remain off until I operate them?

I haven't run anything in 2.5 years due to relocating. But if you mean you want a loco to not have sound while sitting, I believe it's cv 128 (volume); put it to 0 for each loco...The cv will remain 0 value until you change it again. There may be another programing method. Not sure at this time..M

    From ESU’s web site:

“Some Manufacturers have had our decoders factory equipped in their locomotives and have opted to have the sound ON as a default. If you have a locomotive with these settings and prefer our standard settings above you will need to set index CV 32 to value of 2 then set CV 403 to a Value of 16.”

If you follow these instructions, you will need to press F8 to turn the sound on.
