Good morning everyone! For us folks connected with the U.S.A., this weekend is a long weekend where we celebrate Thanksgiving. Thursday of course is the big day filled with cooking, eating and probably some football. I doubt any of us get any modeling done, but if you have guests over, I’m sure there maybe a tour of your railroad. Friday is Black Friday, a strange custom where people get up early, usually on their day off and fight crowds and each other for sale items of various electronics and clothing. Myself? I plan to celebrate White Friday by playing with my new to me snowmobile. What else happens on the rest of the weekend is up to you, so let us know what your plans are. We’ll come back here on Monday the 26th to see how it all went.

For our members in the California fire zone, keep safe, keep us posted. For our service members stationed from near to far, thank you for your service and may you have a great Thanksgiving! To my fellow Americans, give thanks, happy Thanksgiving! To all my other modeling friends, have a great weekend, stay safe and of course...

    High Greens!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

First -- to all -- HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! (Don't eat to much -- LOL)

I plan on finishing up my DS-4-4-1000 project -- will I though-? We'll see.

Y'all have a great and enjoyable weekend,
    Wolf

The weather is definitely getting into winter territory, so this weekend will be spent dusting off Weaver Junction, cleaning track and making plans for the next few months. I also got my last pre-ordered locomotive in the mail last week, so I need to set up a loop in order to break it in.

When I'm not working on projects around the house, I'll hopefully be working on a couple of CAD projects- finishing up the long and aggravating (fraught with dead ends and restarts) task of making up the Michigan State Police decals for my '55 Ford police car project and working on yet another track plan for a new layout.

Unfortunately many of us will be stuck working. No time off for anything. :( "Black Friday" has become "Black Thursday" and next year will probably stoop to new lows as "Black Wednesday". Sad. Very sad. No time for family, friends or even the hobby.

I volunteered to work on Thanksgiving and Black Friday, today I won a $200 gift card for doing my job, and my washing machine died...

My original plan for the weekend was to mask and paint the black top of this Hiawatha schemed Little Joe. Caught a moment of inspiration this evening and got it done tonight, although my airbrush was acting up I was lucky enough to finish what I started. With that I'm updating my weekend plans to create the broad stripes and number decals. Wish me luck...

Install decoders in some locomotives today. Spend the next three days running on the clubs N trak layout.

It did what? Oh well join the rest of us. My land lord still hasn't gotten my laundry room finished so it's off to the laundromat to flirt with the attendant. A California Girl, transplanted in Idaho. That is tomorrow, not today.

For many this will be a home alone event. I've done that and it's not bad. Set up a Deli Thanksgiving Dinner or Marie Calendars frozen dinner and go for it.

Special moments have been when at the last minute a neighbor has looked over and took pity delivering a huge plate of some of the finest Mexican food you could ever ask for. Neighbors I will miss dearly. Today, I will be with my daughter and her family for the first time in years. First time with granddaughters. So I'm looking forward to it.

According to text from my Son-in-law, I maybe going over to help them set-up for Christmas. Better get breakfast under the belt and a shower. Otherwise it's grandpa you smell like ....well....ok I just might.

Modeling Plans? More like unpacking my train stuff and getting it where it's easy to find. Maybe out to the club to run it.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

Rick, it shorted out, no electricity past the cord. I got the new washer in and the old one in the back yard. wasn't too bad, othet than getting it up the stairs to the second floor. the U turn at the landing was a son of a motherless goat.

Wife is making Thanksgiving dinner at her dads house and we have visitors staying with us over the weekend so not much model railroad activity for me this holiday. Club has a layout at the Great Train Show in Richmond this weekend but I am going to miss that too. That's about 60 miles away from me through urban traffic all the way so not as easy to get to anyway. I'll have to shoot for the next one in February which is much closer in San Jose. Hope everyone enjoys the holiday whatever you are doing.

Wanted to go in the train room. But alas, holidays mean nothing gets done. I am almost ready to start pouring resin in my lake/reservoir. I figure I will need 1/4” depth so two pours of 1/8” will be needed. Looks like Sunday is the day of the first pour.

Redecorated some Erie twin OS hoppers for C&Os 49000 series, and redecorated a Union RR caboose for C&O. This will expand my hopper fleet and add some more variety!
