N scale locomotive Identification

Wondering if there anywhere you can know who made the locomotives in N scale. Some dont have any markings on the bottom as to who make them. With the layout i just got opened up one box and it has over 70 engines in it. there had to be 100 cars. Just wondering how do you identify them as to who made them.. Thanks
