Hmmmmm, didntd take long for BNSF to get going on the project...... All sorts of drilling rigs and company trucks just to the right. Get some pics now, before the bridge is gone.....
Wow, just finished reading through this whole thread. Excellent work and a great view of working trains. I'm kind of fascinated by these repainted caboose shoving platforms. Keep 'em coming!
Take THAT Airbus!!! OTOH, no more Lockheed, Douglas, Convair, DeHaviland as competing airline makers too... Many many fallen (or consolidated) flags in aerospace. I wonder what security protocols are used to transport such precious cargo (and keeping some yahoodoodle from taking pock shots from the hedge as the units roll by)? How far are they moved?
I think they leave from somewhere in Kansas or Oklahoma. They come up through Billings, MT and onto MRL over the NP all the way to Seattle and the Boeing plant. They go a long way by train before they ever fly!!
I wanna say Wichita, Kansas is the assembly place, then brought up to Renton, Wa for final assembly? Remember when the MRL had that derailment a few years back, and five of these went for a swim in Montana??
