All right! Jeff's loco is back up and running. The LokSound decoder (installed by Kobo/Kato) just got a little confused:unsure:o_O. Took the decoder and light board out as a single unit, hooked leads up to the light board for track and motor, and hooked up to LokTester. Had to do a couple of hard resets, using the LokProgrammer, and the decoder came right back to life. :D Removed the test leads, put board back into chassis, put shell on, and we watched and heard the choo choo train while talking.

    That’s great news.
This means however I will have to buy a windows computer if I ever want ESU as the locktester isn’t Mac compatible. :(

Unless the program is Very small so I can fit it on the XP I use for coding BMWs.

I know of plenty of folks who run it on a virtual windows machine on a Mac. But an inexpensive Windows machine is probably the best.

And, it is the LokProgrammer software that is Windows only. The LokTester is simply a piece of hardware you can plug decoders into for testing (with whatever DCC system you want)

How old of windows do they support? Can Lokprogrammer run on XP? It is hard to remote exploit a computer that can’t even access the internet because the OS and browser are too old and which has a WiFi off physical switch.
    Sorry fro going OT op!

It still shows XP support. You will need Net Framework 3.5 SP1 as well (If you install while connected, that will install automatically)

A BIG BIG Thanks to Rick!!! (y)(y)(y)

Rick has always persevered and found the answer to correcting the Locomotive problems I've had and on top of that he does excellent work in installing the ESU Sound Decoders on several of my locomotives.

Imagine my feeling when the little Loco came back to Life :):D

    High Five to Rick
