I'm completely aware of the benefits of using Unitrak, but have lots of Peco code 55 that I need to use. What size cork do I use to make it match up where I transition from the Peco to the Kato end tracks on my TTrak modules? The regular N scale cork seems a little low.

I have a set of modules for a layout that uses Peco code 55 as a standard but wanted to use the Kato adjustable length tracks for the connections between two of my modules that always go together. I was using just regular Midwest Products cork road bed and did not have any problems. If you are noticing the cork being a bit lower maybe try shimming under the track with some styrene sheet cut into strips the width of the track ties.

I agree with Brad on the Midwest cork for Kato to Atlas code 80. I'm not sure about the Peco code 55 though...…….it's technically code 80 rail set deeper into the ties, so it may be a little shorter overall. But if it worked for Brad it may be the same.

I'll grab some Midwest cork and see how it looks. Might be having a fire sale on Peco track and turnouts if I don't get the results I'm looking for.

I use both on my layout or layouts. You'll have to shim the cork road bed up a little. I do that by using card stock and gluing it under the cork roadbed. Done right you hardly notice the difference in elevation.
