I found that use large modules (99x30 cm) to make photos of the trains not very easy and usefull. Having some spare piece of backdrop I decided to make a small diorama (30x10 cm) to have it for making photos of my locomotives and cars.

Construction of the frame was very easy:

My spare backdrop and tracks installed

First layer of the grass prepared. I decided to have some space for making photos of the cars as well. There will be country-road.

Second layer of the grass and some flowers:

Wow, that looks great! The first grass photo looked really artificially green, but the second photo is really life-like!

Thank you for positive comments. It is time to add "salt and pepper" with small items one can find next to the rails...

    Mileage sign:

W16 sign - on Polish railways it is used as a warning for the locomotive engineer that there is passanger train stop ahead

    Tlegraph poles added as well:

This diorama was inspired by the Ostbahn - German build railway from Berlin to Konigsberg (currently Russia). The main part of this railroad is currently located on Polish territory. For a long time it had a climate of "old railroad" represented by such photos:

I hope I was able to recreate this climate:

Excellent! That backdrop photo goes so well with the color combinations you've chosen for your module. You nailed it.

Thank you for your comments. As I mentioned this diorama was build mainly to make photos of locos and cars. One of the first examples are items made for my military trains (Twoo of them - one representing 70ties - Warsaw Pact time and the second one with military stuff currently used by Polish Army. Let's start with current equipment. 6-axle flat car is schratchbuild and 4-axle is rebuild and repainted from Marklin.

Looks very realistic not like some of the longer flat cars with just two pieces of equipment!
