I apologize all for missing last week. I honestly had to sit here and think about the fact that it's been 2 weeks since I posted the Willits image. It doesn't feel like it's been that long. Binney Junction. I believe that this is facing compass south(ish) the train is a BNSF that is heading east on the former Western Pacific, bound for Keddie and the inside gateway. I am on the former SP Valley sub looking railroad west towards Roseville
From 01/26/2019, NS Train M23 starts downgrade at Ridgecrest, NC. Swannanoa Tunnel with a length of 1,832 FT is just ahead. In the 30 Miles between Asheville and Old Fort, there are seven tunnels on this line.
"Golden Hour Frac Sand" U CNSDND0-09, a unit loaded frac sand train, grinds into the blinding sunset at MP 2.8 west of Minot.
Bonsack, Virginia, July 2017. The MOW guy from the truck on the left was walking the right-of-way when a train came around the corner. He then performed a roll-by inspection. You can see him between the tracks by the locomotives. I talked to him later and he gave me the lineup of what was coming through in the next hour or so.
