I'm here. Sorry,. I know it's been a long time. But I'm home a feeling good. I will try to get some work done on my alley. I will start again soon.
While we miss seeing your progress on the bowling alley, your health is more important. Take care of yourself and we look forward to seeing your progress when it comes our way.
All I know is that she is a sweet young lady with a great love of life and creative modeling ability. Aside from that, I only hope that she is taking a lengthy sabbatical to recover from putting up with us, her obtuse typically male counterparts on Trainboard. Candy, we wish you the best, especially your health.
Hello and thank you all !!! I needed the rest but I am getting anxious to start working on my bowling alley again. I think I will start working on it this weekend. I will be fine ! My girl friend said to me, " A lot of guys are after me." So I said," Why? Are you running a sale?"
Welcome back Candy!!! You have a lot of guys who are glad to hear from you again. Hope you are feeling better and can get back to your bowling alley soon. No hurry though, just take it easy and do what feels right. Joe
I was thinking of using Masonite as a floor because it is flat and smooth and it's easy to glue. What do you guys think??
I believe 1/8" Masonite is the thinnest. You might ask if they have broken pieces. Many times both Home Depot and Lowe's will have smaller pieces recovered from broken sheets, though in a different area so they're not obvious. You have to ask. I've seen them as small as 2'x2', though 2'x3' and 2'x4' are common.
Also, full service Hardware stores (Tru-Value/Ace) and so on, that have lumber yards, will usually have a service that custom cuts 4'X8' sheets and will commonly have smalls in stock. There is also a masonite product that has a white, shiny surface on one side that might make your project a little easier.
