Is there interest in showing the rest of us your train room along with decorations, signs, and other railroadiana as well as the layout itself? I'll go first.....

This is what we call a "lobby" just outside of the train room.

There's a little board in one of the light cases that has the alternating flashing circuit.

Events of several years ago, I no longer have such a "room". :(

Thanks for posting Roger! Definitely many years of work went into this layout!

My present train room is in chaos right now, but this will be my train room in the future. It's an 8'-6" x 9'-0" former guest house. Layout is already planned. Although we aren't going to move there for a couple of years, construction will start at my earliest opportunity.

BTW, Nice layout, Roger. I don't recall having seen it before.

Nothing like the old full size room. I'm down to 82"x42" now days. Old age and health. You caught me at the beginning of my last layout.

    Thanks for the pictures, guys!

Couple more shots of the lobby area before we go into the actual train room.

UP 5522 was a 44-seat chair car built by Budd in 1961, and sold to Amtrak in 1971, then converted to Baggage 1729 (which would explain why the car number sign was removed) then later Baggage 1759. The car number sign is off this chair car, and the taillight is off a Santa Fe caboose. Step stool is Union Pacific that I embellished a bit lol.

Looks like a good start, Jim. What scale are you working with this time?

Sorry, couldn't resist the invitation, as one of the very few members of this forum who does not model, just chases, rides, volunteers, contributes to real 12inch to the foot scale steam. At least I used to do those things.

John A., I look at your pictures and wish there was one more time I could pass through that lobby. Wait until John shows you what's going on behind that door. The one that says "To Trains."

    Oh the fun we had.

Fitz nice picture. I figured you were a live steamer. :Do_O

The Saucier Central, 15'x8'x11'. Required 4' for entry door. Like all layouts, it's still a Work-In-Progress.

Well I guess this would be it most of the time. The ceiling of my garage where my NTRAK modules are stored.[IMG]

How cool -- Y'all have some awesome train/layout rooms.

Here is my modest "room" -- it is above my garage -- in So. Cal.
