The old railroad station at Trollveggen, Norway. It is now a bed and breakfast, but the 71 mile standard gauge Rauma rail line that it sits next to, is still in operation from Oslo to Trondheim.

Taken on Thursday morning, a rare daylight shot of the northbound Silver Star at Shepard, SC on the former SAL main behind a typically battered GE P42DC. CSX trackwork has temporarily revised the Star's schedule, allowing a photograph.
That mark above the engineer's window looks like what i might expect to see, if someone dropped an item from a bridge or threw something at a passing train.

With Hurricane Dorian's approach, Amtrak has annulled its southeastern seaboard train services, including the Star, Meteor and Auto Train. In South Carolina, I-26 is being reversed to allow four lanes of traffic flow for mandated coastal evacuation. The Hardcoaler Family lives far inland, so we're likely very safe.
