I'm from Chicagoland, so I'm used to REAL public transit. Took the Blue line to College for 4 years. But Portland Oregon's MAX is still one of my favorite new transit systems. on time. Takes you where you want to go, well priced. And I road the WES for a year last time I lived up there.

Went out Labor Day to Turlock and saw Union Pacific GP40-2 #1351 (ex D&RGW #3096) on the old Tidewater Southern at Hatch, Ca. This is the first time that I've ever seen a train of any sort here. Usually, it's just a bunch of tank cars and covered hoppers
