Oregon public broadcasting with Aaron Scott did a great story about local model railroading and the technological advances in the last few decades: "Model Trains Clubs Move at High Speed"

The Oregon Public Broadcasting website has a great article with photos and video linked from the NPR page: https://www.opb.org/news/article/columbia-gorge-model-railroad-club/ The video is worth watching, as it essentially covers the same material as the radio story. According to OPB, the Columbia Gorge Model Railroad club are having a special open house on Feb. 23 and 24 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m I'm adding this to my list of train layouts to visit (eventually).
