Hi JonTom, welcome. Happy to have you aboard. What are your interests? If a modeler, what scale, location, period do you, or plan to model?

Welcome aboard! If you let us know what scale you model, what prototypes you like and whatnot, we can help point you in the right direction!

Many thanks to all for the nice welcoming! I am looking forward to many interesting, informative and fun discussions about any and all things train related. I grew up in HO but have developed interests in other scales and rail topics as well. Currently I am working on a 1:12 scale Christmas diorama centered around an On30 "live steam" ride-on train. In a 1:12 scale world, On30 (at 1:48) scales out to 7-1/2" gauge track and 3" scale locomotives and equipment. Turns out that 1:12 scale is a common modeling scale for dollhouse enthusiasts and there is a wide choice of human figures, animals, scale building materials and finishes including siding, roofing, masonry, windows, doors, etc. to work with. I'm just now getting started on this project and I guess I better hurry up because it's already April and Christmas is coming!
