Welcome back fellow shelter in place modelers. I say that tongue in cheek as we Illinois residents are ordered to do so at least until the middle of, or end of May. Let's get this party started.

Saturday: This is my "off" weekend which I'm looking forward to. It is supposed to be rainy but warmer, mid fifties to sixties so I plan to work on the woodworking portion of my garage to help me with future railroad projects. I also plan to install my last two Tam Valley servo turnout controls to the B&M layout. I hope to start some building construction on the layout too.

Sunday: Is supposed to be sunny and mid sixties so it will be the garden day. I've tilled a 13 X 25 foot area for our garden, installed 90% of the fence and plan to plant my crops. The peppers and tomatoes I started inside should be able to go in as well as, knock on wood, danger of frost in our area is finally over....I hope. Any time left after that will be spent relaxing at the layout.

So how about you? What do you have on the work bench this weekend? One positive side effect of this pandemic is that it seams we are getting a lot done in our shops and on our layouts. I do miss train shows however. Let us know what you're hopping to accomplish this weekend, maybe with an image or two. We'll assemble again on Monday the 27th to see how we all did. Until then, be safe and stay healthy and as always...

    High Greens!

I have a few chores to do - wash my truck, (Still haven't done it) and change the oil in my wife's car.

Then I hope to finish decaling the evil E8's and the TR6B. The SW8 and SW900 projects will get some attention

Y'all have a great and safe weekend

I'll start tonight by getting all the track centerlines transferred from the 1:1 printed plan to the foam. Then glue and cork time. If that doesn't fully scratch the itch I have two 1st generation Atlas 33K tank cars that I need to strip so I can install the Gold Medal Models upgrades.

ALl that said however its full on weekly grass mowing season down south so that gets first dibs on my time.

Well, I have a kit on the workbench that depends on getting some paint for it and not sure that will happen so I guess it's going to be a head down to the layout and see what peaks my interest to work on.

It's still shelter in place at my house even though our governor is maybe jumping the gun and lifting restriction on some things starting today. I've been able to work from home the majority of the last two weeks with just a couple of trips in to the office but Monday will be back to full office schedules. We shall see how it goes.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend.

Not sure. All I know is it will involve the layout and certainly my workbench this weekend. As much time as I can eek out and spend there. We'll find out Monday what I did, but I know where I'll be.

If the weather is nice on Saturday I'll be painting my wife's new potting bench and some gardening. If they are right and it rains on Sunday will be cleaning the attic.

Modelingwise I plan to continue my weathering marathon. Finish a couple of ACF covered hoppers.Next will be some pulp wood flatcars.

Taking advantage of favorable weather to get some yard work done, but with cold and rain expected to return (again...) tomorrow I suspect I'll have time to continue my kitbash of the Walther's Light and Power kit into a station 'loosely' inspired by the Erie Station in Elmira, New York. Wow, Friday already. I did get the tender completed. Friday night I was working in the drawbar and saw it was too short so we did a drawbar extension. Next in the plan is the front coupler to frame attachment.
