Sorry guys, saw some friends for the first time in a long time last night which lead to me sleeping in...and then a club Zoom meeting and then I wanted to watch the spaceX launch...so here we are. These pictures were taken yesterday. Yes, that's an old Thrall Articulated 40' well car still painted for Sealand. I thought all of these had been cut for scrap. Interesting, this train was creeping out of the yard and on to the main and htere was a local sherriff in the yard looking under the cars. There had been a stabbing at a nearby Walmart and I think they were looking for the suspect. I was not near their search nor near the Walmart at the time.
Dang, aren't those from the 80's?? Old school original double stack cars! Meanwhile, BNSF has a long string of almost new ones on the old NP Palmer Jtc-Veazey line in storage.
"Some Gave All..." The Amtrak Veterans unit salutes those who have paid the price for our freedom, and catches the last shred of light in Minot as Amtrak train 8, the eastbound Empire Builder, arrives in the Magic City.
