I just found out that good ol' Micro Trains Line, Inc. is using their factory resources to manufacture 1:1 scale PPE for frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic! They've launched a sideline company called Talent PPE (with a very familiar-looking logo) and have so far released disposable transparent face shields and a plastic bracket to hold surgical mask straps so they do not irritate one's ears. They are available on the talentppe.com website to both healthcare professionals as well as the general public. You can even order custom face shields with your hospital's, company's or model railroad club's (hint, hint) logo on it. And like their N and Z scale trains, Talent PPE's products are made here in the USA, in their Talent, OR factory!
