It's between Wickenburg and Kingman, and unless you want to see Santa Fe 3759 or go to Vegas, don't bother....it's a boring drive

The Swaparama is about 50 percent individuals and 50% vendor and manufacturer. There is always room for the 'regular folk' to participate.

Same here. I'm thinking a night in Vegas both ways. Either that or just bite the bullet and buy a ticket with SW air. The last drive to Vegas went very quickly, so maybe not that "bad."

Only 30 hrs each way. Be a very long day trip.

The only problem with me when I go anywhere near Arizona, Nevada, or New Mexico... I don’t want to leave! I love that area, and one day I will move there, I just can’t right now.

I'm hoping to attend if everything works out with some FreemoN modules too... It will be my first NSE. Every time I plane to go to one adult life happens.

About a 4,500 mile round trip for me. Got me one of them hybrid automobiles with both electric and gas motors. Been getting over 50 mpg with A/C on. BUT. . . . . still not going.

Gots me a bigish truck that gets 15mpg... a Harley that gets 40mpg... a small truck that gets 21mpg... and like you not going either. Although I found out that I can get from my house near Tacoma to Phoenix in 3 days for $150 (not counting hotels) on the Harley. Fun trip, but next time I do something like that I don't want to rush it.

The convention is over 500 miles away so I won't be able to attend, 500 miles is my limit to drive in one day. Hopefully there will be another convention closer to Tulsa area in the near future.

That's happened to me a few times Nick and have only gotten to 2 so far in the last 15 years. The ones I have been to have been great so hopefully both of us, and many more make it to this one.

Yes!! Still on my bucket list. I've ridden the Coast Starlight (several times), Empire Builder, Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle (plus the Southwest Chief back when it was still called Super Chief), but I still need to ride the CZ.

It looks like this hotel has rail yard views! That could be deciding factor. (y)

Yes, the Nugget is sandwiched between I-80 and the UP yard.

Its the drive between Vegas and Reno that is a whole lot of nothing...

I'm planning on driving up, being Karl is making me make some Freemon modules, and the rest of the family fly up later in the week. SWA tickets right now between Vegas and Reno are around $60 each way

We are driving US 50 in August (stopping at Great Basin Natl Park and Ely for NNRR). Now that road is a true whole lot of nothing!
