A friend of mine has a 3D printer and lives in another state, and printed this for me. He is gonna mail it to me at some point and he is looking for a N-Scale plane to print for me, like a Cessna or General Aviation type aircraft. We both fly in flight simulation also, so I want a 3D printed aircraft, mostly general aviation! Take a look. Can wait to see it in person, it looks awesome! The TINY Orange thing on the white base is a Trash Can in N-Scale also. I told him it looked so big, so he put a quarter next to the pieces And this is what it is suppose to look like painted and together. I have to figure out how it goes together when I get it following this picture
Very, very nice. From an FDM 3D printing perspective, that roof is quite impressive! Looking forward to seeing your new house once you get it all set up. Mike
You might search thingiverse.com for the planes. I saw a bunch of planes on there the other day that I think were either N or HO. I can't find them now. I believe I found them by looking at one of my followers site... https://www.thingiverse.com/sumner/designs Very nice house and I'm really impressed by the banister on the porch upstairs, Sumner
Thanks, it was very nice of him to print it and the tiny trash can(s), for me. He is looking for a plane and trying to scale some pallets down to N-Scale for me. I can't wait to see it in person one day. It was very kind of him, so I am not rushing him Here is the link if you have a 3D printer and want to print it out yourself. If you do, please, please, post pictures or videos of it printing at some point and what it looks like after you print it. Thanks for the nice replies! Here are the files for the house. Trash Can is on there somewhere too. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3210150/files
He is trying to print this for me also. Man, I'll never get this thing put together with my eyes. If he can get it to work. But if he does. The guy that made the file even had a 10 second video of the prop spinning Here's hoping he can get it to print correctly in N-Scale. What coin is that
Also found this today, Maybe one day he will print this for me in N-Scale. Here is the link to the files. If anyone prints it in 3D, please post pictures and hopefully a 30 second video of part of the print? https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4089011/files
Now it would be great if he did a float plane version. Right now the only version of one out there is the Otter.
Well all this is on the way. Should get it next week some time. It was really nice of him to 3D print all this stuff for me. He said he is still experimenting on the N-Scale stuff. I can't wait see it all, especially the house, but all of it really. Some of it is rough and he sent extra's, and I won't know what it is till it gets here. He did print me a tower and a hangar too, that was a surprise. Tower and hangar images from Thingiverse, have no idea what they will look like. He said the struts and wheels were to brittle on the planes and the original up above I don't think did well in N-Scale, but I think he is sending it anyway, maybe I can figure something out for struts and wheels. I can't wait to see it all. He also said he sent some pallets too.
It all arrived today. A few pieces missing, and everything not perfect, but I am happy. He is gonna send the missing pieces after I check closely. Man these planes are tiny, One even made it out of the printer with a propeller Not perfect but definitely good enough for me. The little orange things are the trash cans This stuff is so small. See the tower next to the hangar. The hangar looks kind of large to me, but I guess it depends on the hangar?
Some mock up's on one of my 2 x 4 modules. Yes I am an old man , pretending like a kid Looks like some tree's got blown down And I am using a piece of paper road as a runway It came with 2 options for first and second floor's. Using the extra as a house under construction. Although it sure is a clean construction site.
