I purchased 24 of these mounts and they look like they’ll do the trick. All in the cost is under $2 each.

I'm going to guess you are controlling your turnouts with micro servos over the more conventional slow motion, or capacitive switch motors?

    Fixed that for you.
Really wanting to learn about the mrr/arduino applications.

A video showing them in use.

I must admit to being impressed with both the simplicity and price. I might well try them. Thanks for pointing them out.
    Cheers, Ted

with the help around here, and the Arduino forums, getting this up and running won’t be a problem!

those mounts would come in really handy when building RC boats as well. For those reading that don’t know, with most RC boats It’s up to the builder on how to configure the electronics and running gear. You start with some drawings of the hull and superstructure and it’s up to you after that to build the frames and fabricate everything. Sometimes you can buy a kit... but not often.

Very cool! Do they have a US distributor, or is it only available from UK source?

Not sure of a US distributor. My total cost including shipping was $40 for 24 mounts. Under $2 per including the shipping was worth a shot.

I saw those on-line. Love the simplicity of construction and ease of installation! How are you enjoying Uncle Peanut Butter? My only reservation is related to wear, does the actuator wire cause wear at the fulcrum point which creates a need to realign the servo? Thanks, Rick

I have yet to install them as I had a track plan rethink last year. Good question regarding the wear. Maybe I’ll glue a small square of plastic at that spot to try and prevent any issues.

Good thought! Adding the plastic square would solve the problem, (if there is wear issue). The square should cover enough of the mount to keep it flat when screwed into the baseboard). I'm going to send a question to Megapoints and see what they say about wear. I have been using their aluminum channel method for mounting servo, works okay but I would like a smaller footprint. I am mounting the servos from above.

Got a new Arduino Uno r3 to use for my servo motor lessons.

If you are using JMRI/CMRI look at little wicket railways video series his videos make it very easy to get all kinds of things going thru JMRI/CMRI

What are your servo motor lessons? Still a relative newbie in the area, can always more, please share!

Dave replied back that he has not heard any reports of wear at the mount and actuator wire intersection.

The Mardec software downloaded onto the Arduino makes controlling servos a breeze.

You don't need to use the ArCoMoRa DCCnext but it does make the task easier. I've used it on an Arduino exactly like the one you've pictured.

As @jamescoleman1960 mentioned Little Wicket Railway has a series on how to get these going. He is well paced and thorough.
