Welcome back everyone. I hope you had a chance to get some bench work or layout time.

Saturday: Worked late, had dinner with Jared and Angela. Came home and went to bed.

Sunday: Slept in and worked the entire day in the garden installing a new fence and did weeding. I heard a train horn in the distance, that was the extent of my modeling for trains this weekend.

How about you? What did you get done? Let us know. We'll do it again on Friday the 17th. Until then, stay healthy, safe and happy and as always...

    High Greens!

So, my modeling plans didn't quite go as planned - close - but...

Saturday: Decaling on the S-2's is done. Next - applying detail parts. Got one side of the SW8's frame decaled.
Printed the window treatment for the soda shop. Started to apply said treatment to said shop -

Sunday: Started to ad the detail parts to the S-2's one is done the other - close.
Then I washed my truck - had to wrestle her back from a bunch of spiders - damn!!
And - we spent the rest of the day out at a friends house (100+ degrees) but, we had a great time! Socially distanced of course.

Hope Y'all had a great and safe weekend,
    Wolf

Nothing this time. Other little time eating obligations, plus too tired from long hours at work. Just rested and watched a few favorite (non-RR) videos.

Spent part of the weekend hiding from the >100F heat but did manage to assemble an S2 IO board and test fit two IO Testers and one 4x occupancy detector module (second module is enroute, it got missed in initial shipment).

Working on the software side of the board and a few minor updates on the PCB (swapping the USB TVS IC as it is a PITA since SOT-666 is TINY! adding two more status LEDs. adding power routing diodes. adding bulk cap for 3v3 power to smooth surges).

Also worked out the TWAI (CAN) driver code and it is partially working now, still needs a lot more testing though..

I de-sprued a mess of 3D prints and sprayed them with primer. As usual, I broke a few while de-spruing, and lost one of the tractor wheels as it vaporized in to the either.

Paint it up and put it in a field with a frustrated farmer :)

Well as most everywhere our temps were 108 & 109 for the weekend so I stayed inside under the refirigeration. And because of that I completed my plans and 2 projects. 1st is the 2nd tanker and then a couple of images of my 2 together................................

That's it for this project, thanks for following along. I have another truck/trailer combo on order for an even different Chevron scheme. I know there are some touch ups needed on a couple of tires but I am pleased with the results considering I made the decals as well as air brushing the colors. My old large numb fingers just limit me more than I want to accept.

    Stay well,
    Carl

I shot some prototype video friday night while fishing with the oldest boy. Still need to edit it. Then it was yardwork and bicycle maintenance palooza this weekend, with some random grilling thrown in.

Well. As predicted. I did a lot of office work and also poured a ton of concrete on the layout. This is the west end of my station scene. I also painted all the track in front of "Albemarle City" and it is ready for ballast and ground cover.

Here's a shot waiting for the "concrete to dry".

I think I saw a tractor tire and rim passing above a lunar feature and heading to Mars.

I have enjoyed seeing this project. BTW, with deliveries increased will the price of gas now be coming down? :D

Let me recall. Friday afternoon about one thirty-ish I started the refitting of new running gear on three boxcars. I felt lucky that the wheels and side frames and coupler hooks could all be re-used. Around seven-thirty P.M. Friday evening, all were done. Some kind of record I know. Now I have eight freight cars in the shop for the same upgrade. Also one shifter needs work too. At this rate, I may be finished before Christmas. I am hoping to pick up the pace.

Despite being gone most of the weekend, I did get a bit done. Painted and placed on the layout a new set of traffic cones. Put in some hedges around the church. Finished up a crane I was working on. First coat of paint on a new office building and embarked on a quest to paint wheels on may of my trucks.

Hope you all have a great week!

All I did was fix my home AC unit (a capacitor died) and filed down some flash

Sunday afternoon I cut the walls and roof for the oil depot office/warehouse. Will assemble it this evening and hopefully paint before sunset.

I ran some trains. I came to the conclusion I need to do a major make over of the layout. To that extent I began removing the locos and other stuff on the layout. I got all my steamers put away.

Another typical week/weekend. Made bread, breakfast casserole, salsa, guacamole and yogurt.
Model wise I finished decaling 16 N scale hoppers. Painting and masking 2 locos.

I'm not real happy with the decal positioning so I'm thinking weathering which I've never done. Where do I start?
