    Thanks, Alan!
That is just cool! Who knew the world was so small!

Speaking of early and late (the last couple of shots were late evening), here's early morning. Near MP 499, CP Portal Sub, CP train 198 barrels east with hot stacks:

Nice shots! Even at those dates, the paint had been on those cars a long time.

What a Maroon. Thats a awfully long distance for those weight bearing rails to be unsupported.

Two SOU cars, a 40' boxcar [Johnson City, TN - 04/1988] and a company waste oil tank car [Columbia, SC - 06/1994]. The stencils in the paint shop barely allowed the lettering to fit on that boxcar. :)

Two Western Railway of Alabama cars at Montgomery, AL, with a 3-bay hopper [04/1984] and a woodrack [11/1989]. The WofA, A&WP and GA were closely allied and all three roads are under the CSX banner today.

Great photo, man those colors really pop! Hard for me to get used to seeing these kind of trains with just one unit on the HE, no matter how many are DP'd behind it.
