Not any revolutionary work, but the first time I've tried something like it, and I'm happy with it! I'm a little obsessed with 40' Ann Arbor boxcars recently, so while they had a variety of nice heralds and slogans, some ended up with just 'ANN ARBOR' on one side and nothing on the other. This one makes for a nice outlier.
(Also worth noting...I have no idea why the website thinks these pictures are upside down!)

Are these trailers considered to be 'modern' as in constructed post 1980's?

I would be more interested in 1960 to 1970 styles. The new Trainworx fuel rigs are a 1950s style seen into the 1970s.

I do like that there are very well detailed tractor-trailer rigs being developed.

I think these are fairly modern. However, the propane tankers haven't changed much so would probably work.

Royale has some older trailer models as well so you should take a look. I've been a happy customer :)

The latest addition to my caboose fleet arrived today. Surprised Micro-Trains has not done more of these in UP with all the different slogans.

Since I still have a fair amount of DC only locomotives and the Online Store that shall not be mentioned was having a half price sale on MRC Transformers, I jumped on the sale price. I figured why not upgrade from my older MRC Tech II to the more modern Throttlepack 9900 and Handheld 1325 throttle. All I can say is the control of my older DC locomotives is night and day vs. the control offered by my older Tech II. The slow speed control is better and the locomotives in my opinion actually run quieter than on the Tech II. My current layout is a 24" x 80" HCD layout and the entire layout is just one block. So for me it's less than 5 minutes to switch between DCC and DC. I'm currently having a blast running my older DC locomotives with this new Throttlepack 9900 and Handheld 1325 throttle (y)

I have to admit that I have been remiss in not adding my efforts to stimulate the economy. But the truth be known, I am hoarding my hard earned meager earnings waiting for Atlas to release the former LifeLike/Walthers SW9/1200 switcher (Hopefully in Montour RR and Pittsburg and Shamutt RR paint) with improved pickups.

New from the factory are a few semis including trainwork texaco tanker which doesn't disappoint. Although this is the first of my trainworx fleet that doesn't bare an engine under the hood the rest of the detail is spot on including a metal etched ladder on the tank trailer. Blue and white mid roof Freightline Cascadia tractors in the rear are new as well. Texaco truck is going in my coffee table layout and the modern freightliners getting billing on my upcoming project.

Yeah, they are going pretty quick from the usual (sub retail priced) outlets. They are all over on fleabay if you search trainworx but the prices on the latter are a bit more in most cases.

Trainworx, Wheels of Time and Athearn vehicles are very popular and tend to sell out quick. They seem to be short run and are quite pricey too. If you can afford them and get them before they sell out, you will be amazed by the quality and workmanship.
Atlas vehicles are a close 'second'. I had big hopes for Classic Metal Works... but they have not met my expectations for the past several runs... and are now more expensive.

I recently picked up some Athearn 28' trailers with pups (YRC and Yellow) and gotta say those are very nicely done. First of that brand I've ever owned but will be on the lookout for their stuff in the future. I saw they are coming out with the big boy next year and will definitely be watching that one.

Athearn started out very slow in N scale about 15 years ago. But... they got their act together and have done some very good products. I have purchased at least one articulated locomotive (Challenger and Big Boy) from each of their prior offerings. I have 8 Challengers and 4 Big Boys. I don't run most if them... but the ones I have run, look great and sound good. I probably will not buy any more... well... still need one more road number DRGW had in the Challenger. never say 'never'.

BTW... these come with a separate extended trailer 'footer??' so the trailer can sit apart from the tractor when parked. My lack of trucking terminolgy is obviously on display here...
