It's funny - out in CA UPS and FedEx are completed backed up and swamped. Only service I'm getting stuff with timely is USPS. I had a chair sit at a FedEx facility 25 miles away for 4 days before being shipped out the next day. Took 5 days to go 25 miles.
Finally got my order on Saturday. I was wrong, it wasn't sent 2nd day, it was shipped 1 day priority and only took 11 days (thats only 1 with another 1)
Whoah - fifty (50! fünfzig!) days after it was shipped, customs finally released my package. It isn't in my hands so not a success story yet, however it looks promising. Hopefully it gets delivered Thursday or Friday.
I got my last order from Japan this week. When they started using DHL everything sped up. A the last order that was US based also came in this week.
I placed and order for a lot of the new Peco turnout motors. I placed the order, went sailing for 2 months and they still have not arrived with prepaid delivery. I hoped they would be here when I got back. Major disappointment. Looks like I need to head out again for another 2 months and see if they are here then.......... Let loose the lines! Hoist the mainsail, run up the Jib! The Solomon's here I come!
