    Regulatory signs...OH BOY ! :eek::mad::mad::censored::censored::censored:

As you can see by the signs on my cutting mat...these signs are about 1 inch in length...including the thin plastic posts !

Where the problem lies is the posts themselves. They are plastic and about the width of the lines on the cutting mat ! :eek:o_O

I broke about one in 3 posts just sticking them in holes drilled on the layout. Later...when I vacume the layout or even dust it off....I will most likely break off and suction up every one of them that survived. Surely there had to be a solution !

I have a spool of .025 Mig Welding Wire. I cut 1 inch lengths. I sanded off the plastic posts from the signs I already painted. I glued the mig wire where the plastic posts where. I then had to repaint the posts :whistle:

The rest of the signs I will 'fix' the post problem before spraying them !

    N scale...love it...hate it...LOVE IT !!

    Busy Weekend...no pictures because...well... I was too busy....:ROFLMAO:

    1) Fixed some broken fence at J&J Horse Ranch.

    2) 'Fixed' some more sign posts. :sneaky:

    3) Redid the fuel storage tanks at Lucky Penny Yard. o_O

    4) Measured a few building for signage I have to print. :coffee:

    5) Did a yearly maintenance full breakdown and cleaning of 2 locomotives. :censored:

    6) Cleaned all the 'dog fur' from all rolling stock wheel sets on 2 trains. (128 axles)

    * We have 3 dogs....you can imagine all the fur wrapped around those axles !

    7) And of course I ran trains for about 4 hours ! :D:D:whistle::whistle:

BTW...the WD-40 treatment I did on the track awhile ago still shows "NO" sign of 'gunk' buildup on anything !! (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

Ya baby! 5 Man Electrical Band, Yeah Canada!! They had a few great hits, this was one of them. Cool quote.

Guess the maker of the video wasn't a rail guy otherwise there would have been a "do not hump" sign in there.

Here's a video with the original music...

    Cheers

    Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! :D

I finally found a 12v power supply in my 'stash' to run my

Glass Technology 12V Glass Repair Rotary Drill - DRL

It will make drilling the small holes for my regulatory sign posts (and other places) a lot faster then using a pin vise...:censored::censored::censored::censored:

I picked up one of the drills shown above without having much faith that it would be of much use but actually use it a lot. Drill throwbars for turnouts and have used it a lot for drilling holes in 3D printed Items. It handles the PCB ties and the plastic and 3D PLA parts but I wouldn't expect it to really be a good choice for metal of any thickness.

I have a couple of the 110v plug adapters to USB 5 volt at my different work stations and plug into them with the drill cord. You turn it on and off with the white button shown.

Just be certain you don't have any cut ends exposed. Otherwise you might gash yourself when reaching across.....:eek::eek::eek:

THE Wife is going to go hang out with her BFF today. I'm gonna grab some breakfast and head out to the trains. Next on my "TO DO LIST" is putting windows in all these buildings we have ! I also have one of my favorite locos that needs a yearly tear down maintenance scheduled. Not a loco I am looking forwards to completely tearing down...with its split board decoder !! As I get older my patience level has declined dramatically ! I hate throwing locomotives against the wall...lol.

I think I will start with the windows. (y)
