Welcome back to the gateway to the weekend. I think I can speak for 99.5% for our group here, the last week has been exhausting. A lot of you have been going through your own tribulations in addition to what is going on in the world. I myself have had a very trying week and like many of you, I'm tired. I think the best thing to do, is to bury ourselves into our hobby and encourage each other in our modeling endeavor's. Let's get started. Saturday: After work today, I plan to pick up the remainder of the supplies I need to finish up projects in the shop. We are supposed to get temps this weekend in the mid 70's and this is rare. I really want to get all the items done that require time in the garage. That includes the shadowbox for the other half of the N scale layout, fascia for the HO layout, painting and some mild office construction. Sunday: I'm going to finish up the N scale shadowbox, fill in the HO fascia front and layout top and paint the surface in prep for track. I would also like to enjoy some time riding the motorcycle and driving the Mustang one last time before putting both into winter storage. So how about you? What do you want to do to get your mind off everything? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 9th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay healthy, be safe and as always... High Greens!
Well, I hope to get a little more scenery work done and some work on the tank car / tank truck loading platform. It's been a trying week and I could use the diversion. Do have a foot infection and some swelling so hopefully that will no t hinder my plans too much. Hope everyone is well and I wish you all peace and a great weekend!
I'm back - we were on a little vacation last week. We had a great time in Arizona. So, it is supposed to rain tomorrow and a bit on Sunday. Saturday: For the first time in months, I will clean (Scrub) track - and, run trains. Sunday: Work on a building rearranging project -- finally, some work on the layout. Y'all have a great weekend, Wolf
I have had a great week. TooK my last two days of vacation for the year. I’ve spent the whole week working on my N scale modules. Yesterday I glued the track down. Today I will run feeder wires to the track. Once that is done I will take my jewelers saw and cut the track at all the end plates. Saturday I will start the finishing of the fascia and hope to paint the foam board. Then back to work until Wednesday.
This weekend will be more on the SRM HW Meyers diorama. Also I have 6 or 7 Tortoises that have been installed for a while, so I intend on at least getting the wiring harnesses on and connecting the frogs to switch w/ the rails. Time permitting, other "unknown at this time" stuff. Have a great weekend all!
this afternopon I'll be cutting the wood for my daughter's girl scout troop to build a little free library. Saturday is overnight Webelos camping with our Den - lots of restrictions due to Covid but we think we can manage it. Sunday we have to come home and clean up from camping. We got all the post-hurricane debris cleaned up last weekend, but there's probably more we could do.
Not sure. Will see when I sit down at the work bench. Maybe continue updating a used HOn30 critter I acquired two years ago. Or working on a box car from that same scale. Or.... Where will my wandering mind take me?
Good morning all. I have been planning my next layout expansion by laying out a sheet of red rosin paper on the train room floor and drawing in the placement of the various components. Hopefully this weekend I can start to cut some of the sub roadbed from these patterns. This is the scene I hope to recreate eventually. Everyone have fun this weekend.
I hope to complete this new replacement gas flare unit for my refinery. I shall see............. Have a great weekend and stay well, Carl
Swollen foot. Election anxiety. I think I found my relatives. This past week I continued working on the Mogul. Flipped a bell part off the table and had to make another. Earlier today went to visit daughter and took the module along. She said "cool". Will continue working after outing on Saturday. All be safe, healthy and unworried.
Got a head start this week. Locos now rostered in Decoder Pro. Spackled the plaster tonight. Tomorrow sand and paint it. Consist the PA's. Once the paint is dry, lay track to test it. Gluing will wait until next week. Staying out of LHS for a while. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
Hopefully will find some time to work on the support towers for steel trestle on module 08 Boston Mountains Sub Division layout. Been a very busy week and my legs have been hurting because of it, Cynthia's left ankle has been swollen quite a bit. Gabby just lays there sleeping and doesn't help at all. Haha.. Joe
Didn't get around to posting until Saturday, but here's the list of objectives for the weekend: Stop binge watching elections returns: DONE! Continue practicing with CorelDRAW Assemble two T-Trak module kits Test the drill press I retrieved from storage last weekend Stay safe
