 I gave mine away to a friend this past weekend. Mine was undec and I had no use for it, rather he take it to do something with than take up space at my place.

Very interesting bid history. The previous high bidder went from $35.00 to $210.00 but check out their grand total of ONE feedback for a $3.79 purchase.

Also, take a look at the first bidder's name and the previous high bidder's name.

That guy is actually quite smart. He's personally buying ALL the B-mann stuff out there, then he's gonna sell it all for five times that amount when there isn't any B-mann stuff left, because he bought it all and has the monopoly.
HMMM, I've got some 40ft HiCube boxes I should sell. I think I'll get like 500 bucks for three of em', right??lol

Or maybe he needs that many DD40's to make one good one, or one good one that'll run for a few hours before splitting it's gears. [IMG]

I had a pair of those, and was SHOCKED when they brought over $50 apiece on ebay.

I am very tempted to put my dd40 up on Ebay. There are a few others out there being offered right now. I will sit back and watch to see what these auctions do. If they go for decent change.....I will be parting ways with mine [IMG] (and pay a gazillion dollars for a brass one down the road [IMG]

So.... exactly how many manufacturers are making either the DD40 or DD35?

How many are making the Gas Turbine that ConCor produced???

If someone really wants one... and they aren't readily available.... this is what happens.

If these plastic ones are going for such a big increase in price, I can't wait to see what the Overlands will bring several years from now. :D

I think we should have a contest to see which one of us can come up with the most entertaining explanation for this phenomenon...

Both of these auctions look very "Schilly" due to the nibbling bids by two low feedback bidders.

EBay bidding can be easily manipulated to create the "illusion of value" to the unsuspecting or uneducated modeler or newby collector.

Sometimes I really hate what I see what goes on in these Ebay auctions.... buying frenzy... buying fever... irrational bidding.

The most I've EVER bid for anything on eBay was $32. I thought that was a rather reasonable bid, considering I picked up 16 brand new boxcars for about $40 after shipping.
